I strongly believe that the use of ICT in the classroom is a very effective tool to help students develop the different skills in an interesting and motivating way allowing them to become independent learners.

Hi Gabriela! Congrats on your blog, it's me who needs to impoove my "blogging" skills as it's full of comments but the layout defintely needs "polishing"
I think that by now we are all convinced on the power of technology at all levels. I can see my 6-year-old daughter asking me to use the computer and now she's beginning to select some sites she enjoys, such as www.pbskids.org so ... let's keep working on this and sharing our experiences which is the most enriching thing we can do! -

YES!!! That is EXACTLY what is happening i.e. kids are now growing up with technology as part of their lives, and we canīt ignore it at school, as we are leaving their reality out.
When the explorations of the "Communicative Approach to Language Teaching" started in the late 60's the main concern was to bring real-life language to the classroom.
Unfortunately, this has not yet happened in coursebooks although there is a massive body of research of what coursebooks and classrooms should be offering students.
Technology is one way to link their classroom life to their real life and we should not overlook it. If you have children like Laura, please observe them and notice how much they already know about technology, actually, how much they take for granted!!!
So as Laura says, we cannot ignore this fantastic tool. Letīs keep at it!!!
Abrazos,
María Sara -

Dear Gabriela, I'm happy you joined us in cyberspace! We all have to polish our skills, but we'll get better at it in no time, I'm sure.
See you!

In total agreement. Delivering ICT via e-learning has motivated my students more than the old blackbaord and chalk
